I've determined that my desktop is starting to fall behind in the times. I felt I needed one since last year when I got GTA4. I hate having to be on minimum settings. So I checked prices on newegg and amazon and found a lot of good deals on parts. I decided to just build my next computer. I could use lot of parts from my existing computer.
I got my case this Wednesday.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015A2JSA/ref=ox_ya_oh_product

I took out the blue LEDs on the fan. Removed the Centurion emblem. I transplanted everything from my computer into it. Its a bit bigger but run a few degrees cooler.

Next I'm ordering more fans because its got 4 extra fan slots to use. When I add all the fans, I can run them all slower, reducing the noise. I also ordered dampening foam to put inside the case to have it run quiet.

Then a motherboard.
Fan Controller
Intel 3.0Ghz QuadCore
1T Hard Drive
8gb ram (expandable to 16gb)
ATI Cross-Fire Cards
New Monitor
I'm ordering a part or so, every week or two. My goal is to have it ready by the end of October for Windows 7, then Assassin's Creed II. It may no be done until January if we end up getting a house.

Are you an Anti-social Socialist or an Outgoing Conservative?

Porn is weird these days. But it makes you want to be a male stripper. Or at least makes you wonder about what happens with male strippers.

MOVIES!
Ghosts of Goldfield
Cheesy as hell. I feel asleep watching it. Wasn't aweful, but you should be able to find a camera that records a better quality than a phone. Actually it was pretty aweful. Its just a story of some ghosthunters. NEXT!

Night Train
Danny Glover is a conductor. Leelee Sobieski strips to lingerie. Its about magic and greed. A weird guy boards a train. He ends up dying in the rear car with two other passengers. The passengers look into a box that the deceased had. They all see riches in it so they dispose of the body and plan on splitting it. Ends up the box is a cursed relic that's heavily seeked after.

Shuttle
Awesome movie. Two girls just back from a trip to Mexico. Two guys hit on them in the airport. Its late, they get on a shuttle and the two guys ditch their ride to get with them on the shuttle. The driver ends up kidnapping them. Real good, you get into it pretty quick.

Foot Fist Way
Tae Kwon Do master of Concord goes through different trials. Wasn't LOL funny throughout but it was entertaining in its entirety. Real good movie.

The Fall
Boring as shit until like 30 or 40 minutes into it. Set in the early 1900s, a crippled movie stunt man tells stories to this little girl in a hospital so she'll get him drugs so he can kill himself. Directed by the same guy who did The Cell and you can really tell in the 'story' sequences. I'm pretty sure you're supposed to take acid or something to fully enjoy this movie. Kind of a tearjerker at the end. :`(

Its sweet. Its like going to my dream school for an eighth of the tuition.

I met Mark McGwire today. I didn't realize it was him until he left and someone told me. He came up to the front counter and asked me for some Claritin D. I told his ass to go to the pharmacy. Apparently, he couldn't buy any because something was wrong with his license. I'm not sure if it was because it was out of state or what. But there were plenty of roids jokes about it.

I saw the new Friday the 13th movie. I'm not sure what I'm tired of more, the never ending Friday 13th sequels or rehashed horror movies. It was nothing new. Bad acting, annoying characters, tits, drugs and Jason Vorhees. The deaths weren't even that great. Only like one or two good ones.

I started thinking about how awesome Rockem Sockem robots were this morning, while I was at work. It lead me to ask 'what would be a more of a current version of something like that?'
This lead me into a barage of ideas and they are as follows.
About 5 to 10 inch models that are radio controlled. You can make them walk and punch.
They come in a basic starter package. A few different 'classes' would be available, like a Tank, or a Brawler. Each has a special, examples: The Tank has a button on the controller to activate an electromagnet in the character's left hand that grabs onto a special metal peice on a nearby enemy, letting the player either slam or fling the enemy.
The character would be customizable. You get a creation kit with your initial purchase where you can draw or paint your character(see Munny). There'd also be costume packs availble for pirates, ninjas, and licenced characters. So you can replace the coverings on your brawler with Wolverine's Handclaws and the rest of his costume. All the body parts can be removed from the electronic skeleton alowing easy costume changing(DO NOT PLAY WITHOUT A COSTUME). Weapons would be available as well.
Now that you have you're character, you can get together with your friends and duke it out. Or you can buy a battle set with props, and enemies. Set it up down a hallway, your bedroom, or in your living room. Follw the set up instructions for a certain objective or set up the enemies how you like and go for an all out brawl.
Grab your Ninja, team him up with your friend's Spiderman and battle through Stormtroopers who are holding Homer's doughnuts hostage.
Or roll down to the local comic store and play through they're custom battlesets, or brawl with the locals.

I got alot of the mechanics figured out. I may make a prototype late this year. The goal would be to have them under $50.

You could really tell they were just in some white makeup.

I also watched LOOK. I picked it up because it just uses surveillance cameras and occaisonal camera phones. I had an idea to do that a while ago with the cameras at my work and make short webisodes. They did an awesome job with this movie. There's a bunch of plots going on and it takes about 20 minutes to get really into it. They did a great job with storytelling. Didn't happen. The movie was cool. I saw it in a lil old movie theater in lincolnton. It had the same feel as Raimi's horror movies did. Seems scary but you end up laughing more than being scared. The ending was predictable (but not really???).

movie #2
Donkey Punch
Brits in Spain hook up and go out on a boat. They get high and talk about sexual misdeeds like Donkey Punching. A few of them are fucking and one dude ends up Donkey Punching a girl and kills her. The rest of the movie is about what they do about it. Pretty interesting with boobies and killin' makes a good movie.

I saw Doubt too, it was pretty dang good.

I was excited even though I was expecting to see just a faint hint of the game. What I got was a great mix between the plot of 1 & 2 edited for a movie. All the memorable elements of the game are in the movie. Some characters got cut out and some cool parts I would have liked to see in the movie.
My favorite part was the visual references to the game. All the scenes seemed like the were ripped right out of the game. Starting with Roscoe Street Station, till the end at the roof of the Aesir building; even the snowfall.
My only complaint was the casting (and acting). But I guess they knew what they were doing if I my girlfriend wanted to see it too, because of Mark Wahlberg and Ludacris.

School starts monday. Summer was fun, along with my year and a half off. Derek and I are going to start getting into the cartoon, now that we have to do schoolwork, we'll fit it in with our responsibilities.

Yesterday, I found out that the hole in my tongue is still there (my ear is still open from when I was 13). So I'm at Hot Topic today, buying a tongue stud, and at the counter I see a brand new Faint CD. I was so surprised by it, I bought it (I figured I owed them). It actually came out just 10 days ago. My first reaction after listening to the first two songs was dissappointment that it sounded exactly as other songs. After the 2nd track I started getting into it.

Anyway, here it is, I figured most of my buds like at least a song by them.
So I've been sinking into a depression the past few weeks. I haven't been in a depression for like two years now.
The thing is that for some reason I'm not REALLY happy when I'm happy. When I get depressed, I enjoy life more. It sounds like a paradox, I know; cause howzit a depression?
I've had Atypical Depression since I was a teenager. Its the lamest depression. Basically my average mood level drops to being really sad instead of... normal.
I actually like being like this. Things that make me happy make me even happier. Plus I kind of like being sad. Extended happiness makes me anxious.

Anyway, I sketched this last night. I tried coloring it in PhotoShop. I think it came out aight.

I meant for his lip to look like that cause I based it on Matt F**k.

I had to host it on webshots. I need to get some webspace.

I hate responsibilities. My whole life is based around all the shit I have to do. Then what I feel obligated to do. Whatever's left is for what I want to do. So what I want to do can't take any longer than 30 minutes to 2 hours.
It seems like life is all about anticipating change.
In high school, I couldn't wait for college. Now I can't wait until its fucking over. I'm sure when I get into the actual workforce, I can't wait until retirement. When that finally rolls along, I'll be begging to die.
I miss hanging out with my boyzzzz. Since I hardly ever see them, when I do, its sort of awkward. I keep thinking that all the good times are gonna fly back. Instead I get a barrage of insults or copius amounts of depressing talk. I think over spring break I'll say, fuck my responsibilities, I'm in 10th grade again.

Aight, so schools back. One of my classes is Simulation and Game Design. After reading the books, its sort of inspired me to think about game making again.
One of the books comes with the Torque engine (used to make Tribes 2) and encourages people to make games with it. So I've been looking over the abilities of the engine and came up for a game idea.
I've always liked the idea of incorperating learning into games. If a kid is going to sit there and play something for hours, he could at least get something out of it. That's why I've always liked historical war games and spy games. You can usually pick up some history from it.
Anyway, THE GAME.
MegaVitaMan
An Action RPG starring an average guy in a crime infested city. The percs? Stores are placed throughout the city where you can buy herbal and dietary supplements used to powerup your player. From multivitamins, to level up your stats evenly, to iron for strength, or even just some vitamin B12 chewing gum in battle that gives you a burst of speed and strength. Like in real life, you will have to keep up with buying vitamins or your stats will eventually start to decrease.
Vitamins will also be part of the miniquests. Someone will have a problem, and you have to figure out how and which vitamins you can use. The bad guys would also use vitamins against you, like spraying powdered melatonin at you to make you fall asleep, so they can kick your ass.
As far as graphics go, I'm hoping I can hit an artistic wave and make better models than I have in the past. Even though the Torque engine is old, it can use DirectX to make the game look more modern. And as far as being an independent game, it can look pretty sweet. I'm planning on having the player get bigger as he gets stronger by simply scaling the torse and arms with scripting. I also want the bad guys to explode in a bloody cloud when you give them a death blow.
I don't expect it to be very long, as a realistic goal.

Opinions?

My life has seemed to lost alot of its meaning to me. I'm not doing well in school, so I lean back on worklife to show myself I can still do things right and I'm not a total fuck up. But now work has gotten in the way of everything. I work so much now that I rarely see my friends, I can't find time to christmas shop or even do that little things I want to do. I don't even have much time with my girlfriend outside of work.

I am excited about festivus. I need some good wholesome quality chill time.

So school's started back. I'm back at home. I have more free time to just chill out by myself enough to get bored and do things I want to do. I've cut back and quit a bunch of my vices. I'm feeling at ease and more comfortable with myself and situations.
School is awesome. I enjoy all my classes. I'm actually taking engaging classes that I'm interested in, this semester.

oh yeah and here's the flash I made today. I didn't think it was really funny because it felt like I either tried too hard or not hard enough while making it. Maybe its just too abstract and weird. I'm hankering to do a good long cartoon with a plot. Korey might help me finish my orangeman cartoon.

New Cartoon, Pig & Penguin:
http://atomic-toaster.netfirms.com/flash/PnPshort.swf

Year Old Cartoon, Orangeman:
http://atomic-toaster.netfirms.com/flash/ONGmen.swf

I stopped fearing death....

I've been freaking out lately because I've been thinking about death. I freaks me out that IT WILL HAPPEN. I try to look into the future, and then I remember I have to die at the end of it all. Then I realised if there isn't an afterlife, SO WHAT? Its not like I'll care, I'll be dead. I just keeping thinking that when you die, its just blankess, no emotions, thoughts or feelings. I used to think my soul hated dying because its done it alot and hates the blankness. It sounds stupid, BUT ITS WHAT I THOUGHT! Give me some cred. So I realized that I won't exsist, so I won't exsist to care that I don't exsist. After I realised that, I had a whole mindset that death was almost beautiful. I could see why so many old poeple wanted to just die and I could understand why some people commit suicide. I think, ultimately I stopped fearing my death, but I still don't want to die yet. So I still fear dying in the sense that I haven't lived yet.
